FAQs

Will my children be permitted to attend the wedding?

Respectfully, we request that only adults age 18 and over attend the ceremony and reception.

As much as we love our younger family members and friends, only adults over 18 will actually be invited to attend the wedding ceremony and reception.

Cash bar or open bar?

Jonathan and I will be brewing our own special beer for the wedding and reception through B.C. Brewery - those beers are on us until the kegs are tapped! After the kegs are tapped, it will be cash bar, BUT everyone's bill will be discounted by 50%. B.C. Brewery will have a bar and taproom (of course), as well as a self serve tap wall available to guests.

What type of food will be served? Will it be a buffet or plated dinner?

We will be doing a breakfast for dinner buffet and will have hor d'oeuvres before the buffett dinner is available. Food runners and servers will be available to us. You are also allowed to bring your own food in from an outside source.

I don’t like beer, what can I do?!

Unfortunately, outside beverages are not permitted at B.C. Brewery - their liquor licnese only allows them to carry and serve their own beer. There will also be water, sodas, root beer, cold pressed coffee, kambucha, and tea. You can feel free to bring any non alcoholic beverages you would like. For the beer lovers, there should be some good options. Otherwise, feel free to grab a drink before our ceremony elsewhere - just make sure to be there on time! ;)

What is the dress code?

We kindly and respectfully ask that our guests follow a dressy casual/semi formal dress code. This includes, but is certainly not limited to dress pants with a button-down shirt or polo for men, and a summer sundress, maxi dress/maxi skirt, or a skirt or pants with a nice blouse for the ladies. No jeans or shorts, please! If you are confused by the dress code, please do not hesitate to ask questions!

Do you have a wedding hashtag?

Absolutely! Feel free to tag any wedding related posts with the hashtag #swiperightforkeyser so we can find all of our photos in one place! We will also have a Snapchat geofilter!

Will you be having an unplugged ceremony?

Yes. We would love for all of our guests to be truly present during the ceremony and to “unplug” and put their phones away. We are also doing this so the photographers are able to capture the best pictures possible of the before, during, and first moments after our “I Do’s.” However, once the ceremony is over, please feel free to take out your phone and snap away! Just remember to please be mindful, aware, courteous, and respectful of our wonderful photographers who are trying their best to take the best pictures possible.

Are you registered anywhere?

We are registered at Target and through Honeyfund - but please keep in mind that your presence at our big day is truly the present! We are fortunate enough to have (mostly) everything that we need for our humble condo. With that being said, we are registered at Target for those items that we would love to own. We are also registered on Honeyfund for our honeymoon in Canada.

How will I know if I am allowed to bring a date?

You will know if you have a +1 by how your save the date and invitations are addressed - if it only says your name or if it has two names listed. We are limiting +1 to guests who are living with, engaged, or married to their spouse.

What is parking like?!

B.C. Brewery has a large parking lot. It is also easily accessible by the lightrail. If you plan on drinking, please consider taking an Uber, carpooling, or having your +1 (if you have one) be the designated driver. There will also be a shuttle service available to transport guests to and from the hotel and brewery. As much as we want everyone to have fun, we want our loved ones to be safe. Don’t drink and drive!

Will there be a celebration after the reception?

Although many people typically have a “brunch send off” the following morning, Jonathan and I have decided to have an after party immediately after the reception! Please join us on the patio at The Greene Turtle in Hunt Valley for some after wedding drinks, socializing, and drunk munchies! Greene Turtle in Hunt Valley is located in the Hunt Valley Towne Center and is less than a mile from Residence Inn by Marriott Baltimore Hunt Valley and is easily accessible by car or Uber (please utilize Uber if you plan on having a drink or two)! We look forward to continuing the celebration with everyone!
